The perfect preparation for buying your wedding dress
1. Initial Thoughts
Before you even begin your search, you should know the exact wedding date and the location where the ceremony will take place. Choosing the right dress becomes much easier when you can envision the season and the ambiance of your big day
2. Choosing the Boutique
Consider what is truly important to you and select the bridal salon that aligns with your expectations. Make sure to entrust this important moment in your life to the best hands, receiving professional assistance from your sales consultant from the very beginning until your big day.
3. Delivery Times
The delivery times for a wedding dress are approximately 3-6 months. You should plan to purchase your dress at least 6 to 9 months in advance to allow enough time for alterations. For brides in a hurry, there is of course the option to buy certain dresses ‚off the rack‘ or order dresses with a rush fee for quicker delivery.
4. The Appointment
Schedule an appointment to receive the undivided attention of your ZORO consultant. Saturday and evening appointments are typically very popular; if you value a relaxed and quieter atmosphere, consider moving your consultation to a weekday
5. Budget
Set a realistic budget for your wedding attire. Communicate this to your ZORO consultant so they can present you with a targeted selection of dresses. Keep in mind that alteration costs for necessary adjustments are charged separately. A popular option for budget-conscious brides is our annual ‚Sample Sale‘ at the end of the season, where designer wedding dresses can be acquired at a much lower price.
6. What to Bring
Nothing but your excitement… We recommend wearing light makeup and styling your hair in a way that flatters you best — this way, you’ll feel completely comfortable and beautiful in front of our large mirror fronts. Try-on shoes and push-ups are, of course, available for you. For hygiene reasons, we do not provide our lingerie during the long fitting sessions. Therefore, it’s beneficial to bring a strapless bra.
7. Accompanying Persons
Make sure that your key companions and decision-makers are present at the first appointment. When your heart races because you’re trying on your dream dress for the first time, you won’t want to miss having your loved ones with you! However, be cautious and don’t bring too many people. We kindly ask that you limit it to no more than 2 or a maximum of 3 companions who understand and respect your style, and most importantly, can share in your joy!
8. Desired Dress
Share your wishes and ideas with your ZORO sales consultant, and feel free to bring pictures of dresses that you spontaneously like. And above all: keep an open mind and trust us! Our consultants are styling experts and know the strengths of our entire collection. They will help you find the right one.
9. Determining Size
Once you’ve found your dress, we will take your body measurements. For our couture dresses, there is the option of a „made-to-measure service,“ which may incur an additional charge depending on the designer. For „ready-to-wear“ dresses, your measurements will be compared with the designer’s size charts to determine your best base size.
10. Payment for the Dress
Upon signing the contract, you will pay half of the amount, and the remaining balance will be due upon arrival of the dress.
11.Dress Alterations
We have two options for alterations:
Couture Wedding Dresses:
These are altered in our in-house atelier. After the first fitting, alteration costs will be calculated based on the effort required. This invoice is due at the latest upon pickup of the dress.
Standard Wedding Dresses:
These are not altered by us but are fitted and adjusted at external ateliers. When you purchase your dress, you will receive a list of addresses for qualified tailors.
